Industrial Solar: Eurostar SimpleSolar application did not find sufficient funding this time

Due to insufficient national funding, the Consortium behind the SolarSimple was unable to pass its application, although the project passed the threshold for obtaining funds. But the parties also cooperate in more other applications under the EU research funding system H2020.

Project passed quality threshold, but received insufficient funding

On 2019-06-07, Industrial Solar reported that the company received information from the EU Eureka Secretariat that the application SolarSimple passed the quality threshold and would move on to national funding and ethical assessment. Unfortunately, the secretariat has now announced that there are not enough national resources for the application to be financed.

The consortium behind the application consists of the solar thermal companies Absolicon and Industrial Solar, the research organizations TUV, SPF and DTU and, among others, the dairy group Emmi and the private consultancy Plan Energy.  Together they would have created a system of pilot plants for solar thermal in industries. The funding rate would have been 48%.

New application in September

A new application where we have taken for us improvement proposals from the independent evaluators who rated the application will most likely be submitted for the next round already in September 2019.
