Industrial Solar signs Cooperation Agreement with UNIPER SE

German Industrial Solar GmbH, which is 100% owned by Industrial Solar Holding Europe AB,  signed today a cooperation agreement with UNIPER SE concerning the use of solar process heat in industry.

Freiburg/Düsseldorf October 30, 2019 – The thermal energy required for industrial processes amounts to roughly 25% of the global final energy demand. The potential for solar process heat for industrial applications is huge, but so far it remains an untapped potential as fossil fuel prices and carbon taxes stay low.

Industrial Solar GmbH, a pioneer in the field of solar process heat systems with more than a decade of experience, has become the world leader for solar process heat systems based on linear Fresnel technology and direct steam generation.

UNIPER SE is a global energy company that generates, trades, and markets energy on a large scale. The company is already providing heat as a service for industrial customers, who are now more and more demanding renewable solutions reducing their carbon footprint.

Bringing together the financial power and market access of UNIPER SE with the innovative solutions and expertise of Industrial Solar will accelerate the uptake of the solar energy use in industry.
